Reached Their Tea Total

(I am in a popular coffee shop which also sells a handful of different types of tea. Since I don’t like drinks with caffeine I am looking for an herbal tea, but the teas are only listed by name/flavour which doesn’t tell me which kind it is.)

Me: “Hi, that apple cinnamon tea… Can you tell me what kind it is?

Cashier: *confused* “What… kind… it is?”

Me: “Yeah.”

Cashier: “What do you mean?”

Me: “Like, herbal tea, green tea, black tea…?”

Cashier: *still confused* “I have no idea what that means… Umm… The box just says “apple cinnamon herbal tea”… I don’t know; it’s just tea!”

(I couldn’t believe she had absolutely no idea that there are different types of tea, and even after I gave examples she didn’t realize what I meant! But she unknowingly answered my question anyway, so I got the tea!)
