Not A Soulful Argument

(I am a student of philosophy at the time. This happens in one of my classes.)
Professor: “So, we’re going to talk about whether there’s a soul. What’s your stance on this?”
Student: “Of course people have a soul; it says so in the bible.”
Professor: “Yes, but… that’s no argument. You have to be able to substantiate your opinion.”
Student: *shocked* “But… it’s in the BIBLE!”
(I never saw her again afterwards.)
