Name Blame

(I’ve recently started high school. There are two other kids in the school with the same last name as me, one of whom has the same first initial. I’m not related to either one. I’m generally quiet and well-behaved, but a teacher has called my mom about some behavioral issues.)

Mom: “Are you saying that my [My First Name] did all this?”

Teacher: “Wait… ‘[My First Name]’?! Oh, I’m so sorry! I got the wrong [My Last Name]! You have a nice evening, ma’am.” *hangs up*

(I never did find out what the teacher was calling about. Mom said she was so relieved to find out it wasn’t me, she forgot what it was.)
