Lapping Up The Laughter

(My husband and I have pet rabbits, and sometimes when we don’t want to do something we will put the rabbit on our lap and claim that we have come down with a case of ‘BOL’ or ‘Bunny on Lap.’ My husband is lying on the bed and reminding me of the things we have to do. My first name begins with ‘L.’)

Husband: “Don’t forget. Hey, what are you doing?!”

(As he is talking I climb on top of him and lie down like an oversized cat.)

Me: “Now you can’t do anything!”

Husband: “I seem to have a serious case of ‘LOL.'”

(Both of us start laughing.)

Husband: “In both senses of the phrase!”
