Keeping A Good Re-Cord

(I am cleaning out my old room. In my baby stuff I find a small box with something black and wrinkled in it.)

Me: “Mom? What is this?”

Mom: “Oh, that’s your umbilical cord.”

Me: “Gross! Why would you keep this?!”

Dad: *shouts from the kitchen* “We nailed it to the barn door to keep the witches away!”
