Going Through A Quiet Period

(I’m a pretty shameless person, but my mom still treats me like a normal teenager, especially when it comes to “embarrassing” things. This happens around my third period.)

Mom: “[My Name], will you come here?”

Me: “Yeah, what’s up?”

Mom: *in a low whisper* “Have you gotten your period yet?”

Me: *in my normal voice* “Yeah. Why are you whispering?”

Mom: *still whispering* “I don’t know.”
