Driven By Blessings
(I am on my way home from college, and because it is a warm day, I have my car windows open. So does the car to my left, waiting at the same stoplight.)
Me: *sneezes*
Passenger in car next to me: “Bless you!”
Me: *while grinning* ” Thank you!”
(Just then the back window of their car rolls down, and a girl of about 10 peeks out.)
Girl: “Bless you!”
Me: *while grinning bigger* “Thank you!”
Passenger in car next to me: “I think that covers it! Oh, wait!”
(Just then the husband, who is driving, peeks around the woman.)
Driver: *clearly humoring his family* “Bless you.”
Me: “Thank you all!”
(Just then the light changes and we accelerate. As I leave them behind, I hear the daughter yell.)
Daughter: “GOODBYE!”
(I giggled about this interaction for about a week after it happened.)
Question of the Week
