Dressing Up Excitement

(A dress I’ve been looking forward to buying has just come back in stock online and I ordered it.)

Me: “Yay! I got my dress! I got my dress! I got my dress!”

Daughter: “That’s nice, but I think you’re more excited about it than I am.”

(A short while later, my husband comes home and walks in the door.)

Husband: “Hi, girls. What’s going on?”

Me: “Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!”

Daughter: “[Husband], you’re not gonna be excited. Just roll with it.”
