An Accident Waiting To Happen

(This takes place around the time I’m born. Since there’s a new baby and a two year old, my parents are teaching my brother the difference between doing something by accident and on purpose. My dad decides to pick my brother up and playfully swing him up onto his bed while holding his hands, and accidentally dislocates both my brother’s elbows in the process. This happens when they get him to the hospital.)

Doctor: “Hey there, buddy. Can you tell me what happened?”

Brother: *very excited and un-phased about having two dislocated elbows* “Daddy did it on purpose!”

(Thankfully, my parents were able to explain the situation, though it took a while to explain to my brother that the action was on purpose but that the result was an accident.)
