A Sister Act

| Related | March 5, 2015

(I am about three years old and my parents just told me I was going to be a big sister.)

Mom: “Do you want a little brother or sister?”

Me: “A brother. I want a baby brother!”

Mom: “Well, of course you could have a little sister.”

Me: “No, I want a brother. I don’t want to share all my stuff with a sister.”

Mom: “Now, honey, you could have a little sister. You would love them just as much as a little brother.”

Me: “No I won’t. You hate your sister and she ruined your life.”

(To that, she had no answer. She and her sister do hate one another. To this day they do not speak to each other and deny the existence of the other. Also, I did end up with a brother.)
