You know when you sometimes see the moon in the sky when it’s still daytime? My family have our own name for this – we call it a “naughty moon” – all thanks to our old Samoyed rescue dog, Kizzie.

Kizzie had a number of quirks – for example, when we first got her from the shelter, she would try to climb into the back of any white vans she saw (we suspect her old owner was some sort of builder or tradesman), and she would sometimes go trotting off after the wrong person on walks, leading to us having to chase her down… but the funniest of her foibles was that if she saw the moon up during the daytime, she would “tell it off” by yipping at it… She never did this at night, so it was definitely the fact that it was still daytime that triggered her…

I miss that big ball of fuzz!!!
