I am a Customer Service Employee, who works on the same floor as another administrative team. Due to my seniority, people often ask me questions and I often relay messages to the other administrative team. So, whenever I walk over there, people wonder what case I’m bringing over this time and try to be funny.

Co-worker 1: Oh, [My Name] is coming over! Quick, switch to English!

Me: Eh… you do know I write novels in English in my spare time, right?

Co-worker 1: Oh, eh… Switch to German!

Me: Can’t speak it, but do understand it!

Co-worker 1: Russian!

Me: That’s a language I don’t understand yet.

Co-worker 2: And neither do we. Since when do you speak Russian, [Co-worker]?

Co-worker 1: *defeated* What do you have this time?

Me: I saw in the file you requested this document and here it is.

Co-worker 1: Oh, eh… thanks
