I am sitting in class when I overhear some of the popular meaner students looking at the yearbook that just came out.
Classmate 1: Oh my god that haircut does no favors for her.
Classmate 2: It makes her look so much bigger. Why would she do that?
I glance over and see the picture of the girl they are talking about.
Me: You do realize that her hair is short because she had cancer and lost it to chemo?
You could see the instant guilt wash over them.
