(We’re discussing elements of science-fantasy in classic D&D adventures and after discussing the gunslinger paladin from Greyhawk one of our younger group members starts quoting a Wizards of the Coast article on the subject.)
Friend *reading*: Bob Bledsaw’s Wilderlands RPG (from 1976) was full of technological artifacts, including a crashed MiG fighter jet. *he spells out M.I.G*
Me: Neat, though it’s a little dissonant for me to hear you calling it an M.I.G. because I grew up hearing them called Migs.
Friend: I don’t know what those are.
Friend 2: The main fighter jet of the Soviet Union.
Me: I feel old now.
