Unfiltered Story #248397

, | Unfiltered | November 27, 2021

I’m walking to work one day when a car pulls out of a local business in front of me. To get around this car I would have to step into the very busy, high-speed highway next to me (I had been walking on the shoulder.) The driver suddenly rolls down their window and starts yelling at me.
Driver: *unintelligible*
Me : “I’m sorry what was that?”
Driver: “do you *unintelligible*?”
Me: “I, uh didn’t catch that.”
Driver: “do you know *random name I don’t know*?”
Me: “nope. I have no idea who you’re talking about.”
Driver: (suddenly irate) the number?!?! Do you have her number??!?!”
Me: “no I don’t.” (Tries to walk off as quickly as I can.)
Passenger: “oh! That’s [my name] she doesn’t know *random name!*”
They drive off while I’m trying to figure out what the Heck is going on and how these strangers know my name. I literally think on this for over 20 minutes, walk into work and notice a coworkers name tag. I had put my own name tag on before I left for work.
