So Easily Distracted It Warrants Complaint

(Back in high school, a friend and I are attending a school dance and are waiting on a third friend, who hasn’t showed up yet. It’s a bit chilly and rainy out but my friend insists on going out to see if the third friend has arrived yet and drags me along with her. I’m known to be somewhat easily distracted.)

Me: “It’s cold; can we wait just inside?”

Friend: “Just hush. She’ll be here any minute.”

Me: *whining* “But it’s rainy, it’s cold, I’m in a freaking skirt and — Oh, hey, you can see [Movie Theater] from here.”

Friend: “Seriously? Even when complaining?”

Me: “Shut up.”
