Put That Matter To Bed

(We are aged about 14 and away on a school trip. All rooms are shared by 8-10 students, thus tend to look a bit messy.)

Teacher: “You still need to tidy everything up and make your beds. I’ll be back later to check on your progress.”

Me: “These days, teachers’ salaries aren’t what they used to be. On a scale from 1 to 10 bucks, how bribable are you?”

(Needless to say, that teacher did not dare to come back to our room.)
