Not Easily Em-Bra-ssed

(I am visiting my girlfriend and her younger sister. Her sister has always been a perky and happy, but ditzy young woman. She is telling me that she had just gone swimming at a friend’s house.)

Me: “You went swimming? But you don’t own a swim suit. What did you swim in?”

Girlfriend’s Sister: “Oh, just my t-shirt and my shorts.”

Me: “…it wasn’t a white t-shirt, was it?”

Girlfriend’s Sister: “Um… uh-huh! It was white.”

Me: “Ah, you don’t want to swim in white t-shirt! When it gets wet, it’ll show your bra.”

Girlfriend’s Sister: “No! It’s okay! I wasn’t wearing a bra!”
