(My boyfriend and I have been together for about three years so by now I thought I was used to expecting the unexpected.)
Boyfriend: “I did come to a striking conclusion, though. You know how we’ll be cuddling and you sometimes get to be the big spoon?”
(I’m 5’6” and he’s almost 6 feet so I’m never usually the big spoon.)
Boyfriend: “I think you’re really the jet pack since you’re tinier than me.”
Me: “A jet pack? W… why?”
Boyfriend: “Because it sounds cooler than a backpack!”
Me: “So you know, next time we cuddle I’m going to have to shout BLAST OFF!”
Boyfriend: “I knew I picked you for a reason.”
