Cats Of Olympus

(I’ve been planning for a European cruise for eight months. One month beforehand, I get fired. I’ve paid off my cruise, but I suddenly have to make the money I have left over last through the next rent payment and bills and food. My roommate booked our plane tickets on her card on the condition that it’s paid off before the flight. If I don’t eat much, I’ll have enough for the plane ticket.)

Me: *on social media* “If I get a job this month, I’ll have enough to fly there and pay for our hotel, but have no emergency funds. If you can help with anything, please do.”

(One hour later, my brother chips in $100.)

Me: “Thank you! Can I do anything to repay you?”

Brother: “Take lots of pictures of cats in Athens.”

(I got a job and a $2200 refund the next week, but I have an entire album of cats all over Europe for my generous brother.)
