Another Smart Phone Drone

(I am having dinner with several friends, one of whom suddenly suffers from an anxiety attack. As she leaves the table to go and recover, I glance at another friend, who is the first friend’s roommate. She is sitting two chairs away from where Friend #1 was, and across from me. Friend #2 is staring at her phone.)

Me: “And here you are, completely oblivious.”

Friend #2: *looking up from phone* “What?”
