Another successful interaction with an elderly person:

-Lady (exasperated after struggling to sign the iPad during a credit card transaction): Whatever happened to just paper and pencil!?

-Me: Everything is digital now.

-Lady: It’s was cheaper that way. How much do those things [iPads] cost?

-Me: Less than having to print out paper all the time.

[I wish I would’ve said “We do accept PAPER money. It’s CHEAPER that way too.”]
