Unfiltered Story #325665

| Unfiltered | April 16, 2024

This took place in the mid-80s. That firm was looking to hire somebody as a supervisory paralegal. The woman they hired was book-smart but a disaster as a person. She had four jobs listed in a two-year period on her resume but that was fine; however, when a new candidate had a similar resume description it was a disaster.

Working with her was a nightmare. If things went right it was to her credit but if things went wrong it was your fault and no explanations were allowed. She treated others (who she viewed as inferiors) as her personal servants and complete idiots. It got so bad that one of my colleagues just walked out; another colleague (in a different department) told the attorneys they’d better be careful that I didn’t do the same thing. I eventually did leave (for a better job) and she was the incentive. This woman went to law school but her personality was so bad she couldn’t even hold a government job for long.
