Bypassed More Than Anticipated
(Five years ago, I underwent gastric bypass surgery. While the health benefits were the key deciding factor, the surgery also offered me a chance to do something I was always curious about: start cross-dressing. This caused some friction with my religious family, but my friends have been nothing but supportive. Here’s a few things they’ve said since I started.)
Friend #1: *while I’m running a tabletop game dressed up* “I’m sorry, but I can’t stop giggling. I keep imagining your villain wearing your outfit while revealing his evil plan.”
Friend #2: “That must be part of the evil plan! To trick us into a false sense of security!”
—
Friend #1: “I’m sorry, I can’t see you like this.” *pause* “Please let me paint your nails.”
—
Friend #3: “Hey! I’ve got this wig I wore to the con last year, and no costume to go with it. Do you want it?”
—
Friend #4: “I hope you find a girlfriend who’s your size, so you can swap wardrobes.”
—
Friend #2: “I’m not a makeup kind of girl. But I’ve got this kit I never used. You want it?”
