(I work at a women’s clothing store that sells a bunch of different styles of dress pants, with different leg widths. A girl comes into the store…)

Girl: Can you show me the different dress pants you have? I already have these ones to try. (holding the styles with flared legs)

Me: Ok, the other styles we have are the straight and skinny legs pants-

Girl: (cutting me off, and saying this very angrily) No! Those aren’t dress pants! Why would you show me those?

I was at a loss for words.
