(My distant cousin/best friend ever and I are driving to a volunteer event on the state line. We are driving through part of Taccoma known for… being stinky. This conversation takes place when we agree we need food.)
Cousin: Please not Tacoma. Never in Tacoma.
Me: *not thinking* Of course not! If I wanted to smell fish, I’d take off my underwear!
Cousin: *laughing and looking at my skirt* I love you.
(Oops! I’m perfectly healthy, we just make no effort to censor ourselves around each other.)
