Choosing Where To Eat Is Such An Affair

(It is eight years after my husband’s affair. We are trying to figure out where to get take out.)

Husband: “Where should we get something to eat?”

Me: “What about [Local Fast Food Restaurant]?”

Husband: “They’re kind of expensive. I was thinking about [Popular Fast Food Restaurant].”

Me: *hard stare* “You know I don’t like [Popular Fast Food Restaurant].”

Husband: “Well, [Popular Fast Food Restaurant] is cheaper.”

Me: “Just because something is cheaper, doesn’t make it any good… just like that girl you cheated on me with.”
