You’re On The Top Of My To-Do List

(My boyfriend and I are taking a short break from working on our respective assignments.)

Boyfriend: “You know you can come to me if you need me, right?”

Me: “Yeah, but I don’t want to distract you; I know how much you have to do right now, and I’d feel bad if I got in the way.”

Boyfriend: “Babe, you’re not a distraction, you’re a priority.” *pause* “I’m about to say something that sounds really wrong, and it’s going to make you laugh…”

Me: “Okay?”

Boyfriend: “You’re something that I have to do.”

Me: *starts laughing* “Nicely put!”
