Your Own Personal Momsnet

(Due to some serious health problems, my family — none of which live in the same state as me — has been in constant contact with me. It’s also worth noting that my father has been married four times.)

Father: “When is your surgery taking place?”

Me: “In about two weeks. I still have a few people to call.”

Father: “Have you talked to your mother?”

Me: “Yeah– Wait. Which one?”

Father: *pause* “Uh… biological.”

Me: “No, not her. I talked to [Former Stepmother] yesterday, and I have [My First Stepmother]’s number. I’ll call The Biological Unit later. It’s up to you to tell [His Current Wife], though.”

Father: “…”

Me: “Hey, you’re the one who keeps getting married. Don’t blame me for all the moms.”
