Your Assignment Gets A ‘D’ For Derrière

| Learning | January 7, 2016

Professor: “Now, I have not checked my notifications yet, but I am assuming that you all have already uploaded today’s assignment to the Dropbox without needing me to remind you…?”

Student: “Uh, I can’t remember if I uploaded it to the Dropbox. I think I did, but I’m not sure. I was really tired this morning…”

Professor: “Well, you should have gotten a confirmation email if you did.”

Student: “To be honest, I don’t remember if I did. Sorry…”

Professor: “Well, since I am in a generous mood today, I can check it for you.” *she starts writing on a sticky note* “Reminder…  to check… [Student]’s…”

(She pauses.)

Professor: “Never try to abbreviate ‘assignment.’ No worries, [Student]. I’m not that kind of teacher. “
