You Will Be The Death Of You

(We are cuddling in bed, discussing what would happen if one of us died.)

Me: “You’re not allowed to die first. I would miss you too much.”

Boyfriend: “But I’m going to die first because I don’t want to live without you.”

(Later in the conversation.)

Me: “I’m dead.” *flops and plays dead*

Boyfriend: *begins to ‘drum’ on my behind and sings* “Come, they told him, pa-rum-pa-pa-pum…”

Me: “Okay… maybe I’ll let you die first.”
