You Catch More Flies With Honey Than Vinegar, Part 10
Before I retired, I had a customer who regularly came by and thanked my friends and me for the job we do every time she was in the store. She was awesome.
One day, I was walking through my department, and I suddenly saw a wad of money on the floor. I stopped, picked it up, and put it in my desk drawer. I called customer service.
Me: “Hey, so if anyone reports any money missing, I have it here.”
Customer Service: “A customer has! It’s the lady who thanks everybody all the time!”
Ha! So they knew exactly who she was, and so did I. I also knew that she had actually passed through my department twice that day!
I paged the store:
Me: “The customer looking for a lost item at the service desk, please come to the fitting room.”
Moments later, she was there and got her money. We all knew who the money belonged to because she was always thanking us for the job we did.
