You Better Think Fast, I’m Telling You Why, Part 2
(I am teaching a multi-grade classroom in a little school in the middle of nowhere. I have only eight students, and they have all known each other since they were born. As soon as December starts, the oldest student starts telling the younger students about how Santa doesn’t exist. One of them turns to me.)
Student #1: “Teacher? Do you believe in Santa?”
(I look at all the younger students, who are all staring at me. Knowing the pitfalls of any answer I say the first thing to come to my mind.)
Me: “Okay, is everyone listening? If ANYONE says they do NOT believe in Santa… I will not give them a Christmas gift this year!”
(I never heard them arguing about it again!)
