You And This Customer Are Just Not Connecting
I work at a big electronics retailer as a merchandiser. I’m resetting a planogram while the store is open. A woman approaches me.
Customer: “Where is your Bluetooth section?”
Me: “We have Bluetooth in every department. Do you need headphones, speakers, keyboards, mice…”
Customer: “Oh! If you have mice, you should get a cat.”
I am not amused, as I have a lot of work to finish before my shift ends.
Me: “Do you need Bluetooth TVs, fridges, or ovens?”
Customer: “Oh, I don’t need all those.”
Me: “Well, Bluetooth is not a tangible thing. It is a form of connectivity—”
The customer cuts me off with a snarky attitude.
Customer: “Well, I will just go look around for myself!”
She stomped away. I still have no idea what she was looking for.
