You And I Can Write A Predestined Romance

(We are having debates on abstract topics such as predestination and religion. Classmate #1 is well known for being rowdy and challenging the teacher. During the debate, my teacher says this:)
Teacher: “Clearly predestination is true. Just look at [Classmate #1]. He has a wonderful girlfriend while [My Name] does not. How else would this have happened?”
(Yes, my teacher really used my lack of a girlfriend as evidence supporting predestination. She claimed that it couldn’t have happened any other way.)
