Worried About Eventual Heartbreak

(My boyfriend and I are cuddling on the couch and I am being mushy.)

Me: “I love you so much my heart hurts.”

Boyfriend: “Does your left arm hurt too?”

(I start giggling.)

Boyfriend: “It’s a serious question! You know, when we get older we can’t make those heart comments anymore.”

(We’re only 24, but it’s nice to know he’s already concerned with the future.)
