(With this class being at the end of a nine-period day, it’s incredibly hard for the students to stay on task. Today is the first day they are all working the entire period on a group project.)
Student: “OH, MY GOD!”
Teacher: “What’s up?”
Student: “I just looked at the clock and there’s only five minutes left in class! Is THAT what happens when you’re actually working?”
Teacher: “Yes, isn’t it amazing? Time moves so fast when you stay on task!”
Student: “… I don’t think I like it. I’m never working again.”
