Traffic Is Creeping Along

(I am talking on the phone to my boyfriend after he gets off work. He works in a very busy city and is sitting in the parking lot waiting for the end of the day traffic to die down a bit.)

Boyfriend: “Well, I should probably go. Try and brave the traffic out of here. I may as well grin and bear it.”

Me: “You’re right; you should grin and bear it! Hey, make it into a game! Grin really creepily the whole way home and freak people out as you’re passing them!”

Boyfriend: “Only you would suggest smiling creepily at people to pass time in a traffic jam!”
