Will Not Be Influenced By The Influencer, Part 5

I work as cabin crew. One of my coworkers is your typical sassy gay man. He knows how to keep it professional but also knows how to deal with problem passengers better than I ever could.

We’re on a London to New York, and I’ve noticed on his side of the plane that he keeps responding to a call light, and I can hear passengers murmuring from that general area. When we both find ourselves prepping drinks in the same area, I ask him what’s happening.

Coworker: “Oh, some young woman keeps trying to make TikToks from her seat and she’s bothering everyone else around her. I’ve told her to stop twice now.”

Even as he’s saying this the ‘ding’ of the call light being activated can be heard.

Coworker: “Are you serious right now?”

With that, he marches back to the problem passenger and looms over her.

Coworker: “Ma’am, please stop recording. You’re bothering the other passengers, and I will not ask you again.”

Passenger: “I am an influencer, and I have thousands of followers! I will put you on blast and make your life a living h***!”

Coworker: “First of all I have to deal with people like you so I’m already there. Secondly, you’re sitting in a middle seat in economy, whatever you’re doing isn’t working.”

That passenger shut up for the rest of the flight.
