Why Make A Fake That’s Half-Baked

(My friend and I are 20 and in Canada on a ski trip. The drinking age in Canada is 19 and we’re from Michigan. The bouncer at the bar is checking my friend’s ID.)

Bouncer: *looks at ID* “This isn’t you.”

My Friend: “What?”

Bouncer: “This is your older sister. There’s no way this is you.”

My Friend: “Why would I make a fake US ID that doesn’t make me 21?”

(The bouncer looks at the ID, looks at my friend, and then looks at the ID again.)

Bouncer: “…Go on in.”
