Who Died And Made You Noah Webster?

A client once gave me some text which included a spelling error. Instead of saying, “You spelled that wrong,” I tried to be tactful about it.

Me: “I wasn’t sure about the spelling of [word], so I looked it up in the dictionary and discovered that it was spelled [correct spelling].”

Client: “There must be a typo in that dictionary! We have to go to the press with this mistake!”
