I have developed a medical condition that will temporarily require me to be on very strong medication. Due to side effects, I cannot drive and have been told to stay home and rest for two weeks.
I am calling my boss to inform him of this and about the incoming doctor’s note.
Boss: “Well, come in anyway! I’m sure it’s not that bad.”
Me: “Wow, [Boss], I didn’t know you had a medical degree!”
Boss: “Uh, what?”
Me: “You must be some kind of super doctor if you can diagnose me over the phone, and you can override what my own doctor determined through an in-person consultation! You’re wasted managing a fast food place! You should be running a medical practice!”
Boss: “…send the doctor’s note!” *Click*
