I work in a dollar-type store. A customer walks in and hands me an open pack of non-rechargeable batteries.
Customer: “I need to return these.”
Me: “Did they not work?”
Customer: “They did at first, but then they stopped.”
Me: “So… they ran out of charge?”
Customer: “They stopped working.”
Me: “So, they powered whatever you put these into at first?”
Customer: “Yeah.”
Me: “And then they stopped working after, how long?”
Customer: “A few months.”
Me: “Sir, let me explain to you how batteries work…”
