I work in a grooming salon in a pet store. The salon opens earlier than the store, and on Sundays, the store opens an hour later than normal. Customers come into the vestibule and wonder why the inner doors are not opening for them.
Me: “The store doesn’t open until ten.”
Customer: “Your sign says it opens at nine!”
Me: “It says grooming opens at nine. The store opens at ten.”
Customer: “No, it doesn’t!”
The customer walks out, looks at the sign, and then glares at me.
Customer: *Shouting through the door.* “You just changed that!”
Me: “I’ve been standing here this whole time.”
Customer: “You did it while I wasn’t looking!”
Me: “Yes, I have the power of teleportation, but I only use it to confuse and annoy customers of this specific pet salon.”
The customer flips me the bird and storms off.
