When Life Steals You Melons…
A customer has come into the store looking around suspiciously. She keeps checking on where the staff are and looking at the ceiling, likely for cameras. Curious, I check on her in the produce section and she’s checking on some melons.
I am asked for some help from a customer, so I oblige, and then I return to the produce section and the woman is still there, still picking out melons. She sees me looking at her.
Customer: “I wasn’t stealing!”
Me: “I didn’t say you were, ma’am!”
Customer: “Why do you keep checking on me?!”
Me: “You’ve been in this aisle a suspiciously long time and you keep looking at the cameras.”
Customer: “Well, I wasn’t stealing, and it didn’t fit in my bag anyway!”
