When Degree Prospects Hit Rock Bottom

In my senior year, I needed one more science course, which could be anything. I took Geosciences in the Cinema.

That’s right, I got a college credit for watching movies like ‘Ice Age’ and ‘Deep Impact.’ I forget if we watched ‘Dante’s Peak’ or ‘The Core’ for the plate tectonics section, but there was a quiz at the end of every class period (where we went over the textbook, not watched the movies).

I also forgot the question, but the answer was magma. The professor had literally gone over the questions and answers right before passing out the quizzes.

The football player next to me asked me how to spell lava. I did not feel great about my degree after that.
