Customer: “Do you have any cakes made for diabetics?”
Me: “We have some low-sugar options, but they’re not designed for diabetics. You would need to make sure their medical advice allows it.”
Customer: “Oh, not to worry. It’s for my husband. Maybe I’ll just buy the normal stuff and have his allergy medication ready.”
Me: “Allergy? I thought you said he’s diabetic.”
Customer: “Yes! He’s allergic to sugar! Like all diabetics!”
Me: “I really think you should let your husband choose the cake, ma’am.”
Customer: *Picking a box* “Oooh! Devil’s double chocolate decadence! Perfect!”
