I am checking out a customer when I notice something big and hairy on his shoulder.
Me: *Recoiling a little* “Sir, there is a big spider on your shoulder!”
Customer: *Nonchalant* “Oh, that’s just George. He’s harmless.”
Me: “He’s… yours?”
Customer: “Yes, he’s my pet. Would you like to pet him?”
Me: “Not in a million years. You can’t bring pets into the store, sir.”
Customer: “That’s a shame. Normally, he stays in my pocket, you see.”
He suddenly gestures to his other, now-noticeably-bulging other pocket.
Customer: “Would you like to meet Clarence?”
Me: “Your total is $22.61!“
