A customer has brought her phone in for troubleshooting as it’s not turning on.

Me: “Could the phone be water damaged?”

Customer: “It’s actually my husband who uses it. Let me check.”

She calls her husband on her own phone while I continue to look at the phone.

Customer: “Honey… could the phone be water damaged?” *Pauses* “Yeah, I’m here now to get it fixed.” *Pauses* “Wait… You found it where?!”

She hangs up quickly and looks at me solemnly.

Customer: “Yeah… honey… you’re gonna want to wash your hands.”
