We Don’t Have Whole-Wheat Water, Either
(I work at a restaurant that serves gluten-free dough. I walk up to a table and give my usual introduction.)
Woman: “So, you all have gluten-free dough?”
Me: “Yes, in two different sizes: small and medium.”
Woman: “Do you sell whole-wheat gluten-free dough?”
Me: “Uh… no. I don’t think that’s possible.”
Woman: “Well, why not? Oh, never mind, I’ll get something else! I’ll have a water.”
